Regional Health and Safety Manager

The Regional Health & Safety Manager provides comprehensive safety and health direction and support to the Incineration operations in our four facilities throughout the US. This includes providing guidance and direction to site Health and Safety management and various personnel on implementing Health and Safety Programs and promoting continuous safety improvement. Position can be based in any of our four Incinerator sites (El Dorado, Arkansas - Kimball, Nebraska - Deer Park, Texas - Aragonite, Utah) Responsibilities: o Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times. o Oversee and manage facility Health & Safety Managers and other related staff, driving them to enforce and promote Health and Safety initiatives in order to improve the overall safety in the plants. o Work closely with various managers and other CHI personnel within region to address health and safety issues and drive implementation of CHI Health & Safety programs. o Audit performance and compliance with policies, programs, and procedures. o Assist in development and review of safety and health programs. o Identify new health and safety programs needs or changes to existing programs. o Advise and represent Company during regulatory actions. o Review and develop work and site plans. o Conduct on site health and safety audits and inspections to assure adherence to OSHA regulations and proper health and safety practices. o Interacts with Senior Vice President of Incineration Operations and actively participates in meetings to review health & safety concerns and issues. o Conduct Safety Meetings on topics designed to promote a better understanding of company policies, programs, procedures or general health and safety.  o Participate as a technical member on Health and Safety Committee, and assists in driving completion of meetings. o Manage safety equipment inspection and testing programs. o Manage employee safety training programs. o Respond in timely fashion and provides technical assistance during emergency responses, remedial activities, and during handling of extremely hazardous substances o Participate in Corporate Health and Safety Program development and implementation. o Conduct health and safety surveys as assigned, and prepare reports on observations Education/Knowledge: o Associate degree in occupational health and safety or a closely related field preferred o CSP certification  o Strong understanding of OSHA required particularly related to Process Safety Management, OSHA VPP experience an asset o 10+ years of progressive Health & Safety experience o Experience in chemical/hazardous waste operations  o Excellent knowledge of Federal and State health and safety regulations o Ability to travel up to 50% o Strong time management skills o Experiencing managing others  o Strong written and verbal communication skills o Ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization o Strong PC skills Employment is contingent upon a successful background check and drug screen. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
