Basic Function The Maintenance Manager position directs, coordinates and executes safe, cost-effective and environmentally sound mechanical and electrical maintenance support of the Acetyls and Polymers Areas. This position reports to the Site Maintenance and Reliability Manager role. Performance Objectives o The incumbent is responsible for the following general activities that may be performed under his/her direction or indirect supervision:
o Mechanical and electrical maintenance, o Cost control o Work planning and scheduling, o Annual budgeting, o Work request prioritization and approval, o Working with regional mechanical management at the other sites, o Ensuring compliance with corporate goals, policies and procedures, and o Management and direction of resident and specialty contractors. Requirements o A minimum of 10 years of chemical plant or refinery experience. o A minimum of 4 years of maintenance leadership experience or 2 years management experience. o The incumbent must have a sound working knowledge of company policies, mechanical and electrical maintenance procedures and health, safety and environmental requirements with a major focus on improving equipment reliability and root cause analysis. o The incumbent must have a working knowledge of MOWP. o The incumbent must have a general knowledge of purchasing and employee relations. Preferred Requirements o BS degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or a related discipline o Strong leadership, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills to focus the organization on achieving departmental goals o Strong analytical skill for making timely decisions with limited information o Strong organizational skill for managing competing priorities and setting long term goals and objectives o Strong system skills for design and execution delegation of maintenance systems such as Operational Excellence, Mechanical Integrity, preventative/predictive maintenance programs, and process tracking. o Strong communication (written and verbal presentation) skills for formal reports and recommendations to all organizational levels to all organizational levels o Broad technical knowledge of the Engineering disciplines and experience involving a wide variety of chemical process equipment, hardware, and plant operations. o Sound working knowledge of company policies, plant operating and maintenance procedures, planning/scheduling, and equipment reliability, SAP, and health, safety, and environmental and insurance provision requirements as related to company activities. o Strong leadership skills are required for the direction of technical and professional personnel and the coordination of outside services. o Leadership and management skills to effectively manage budgets, coordinate site wide priorities, and drive improvements. o Ability to develop a strategy and collaborate with the other Maintenance Managers to generate improvements.
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Engineering Management, Mechanical EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
